DI have been involved in various projects in China since around 2006.  Initially supporting on technology transfer projects offering design support to manufacturing partners.

Subsequent partnerships have led to TDI working directly with CRRC providing the interior and exterior design/styling of new build metro vehicles for 6 different lines, these have been developed and approved for production. TDI have provided the ‘design book’ for the metro vehicles in Suzhou region since 2014.

TDI’s experienced industrial designers have extensive engineering knowledge of railway design. TDI aims to fulfil the client’s aspirations for vehicle design with a tight specification within the manufacturing and time frame limits. This is an iterative process that develops through the concept and into the production phase of work.
